Privora is offline by design. Every feature below runs on your iPhone, with no account, no server, and no analytics. Files, receipts, and statements are read on your device, and what they contain never leaves it.

How Privora grew

Privora launched with 17 modules and has added nine since. Every other release improved what was already there.

Privora's 26th module, a way to send anything to Privora from any other app, five more widgets, and a Finance hub where every list finally scrolls the way iOS lists do.

  • Document Builder, Privora's 26th module. Write a real document from formatted text and images, then export it as a polished PDF without leaving your phone. Four templates to start from, A4 or US Letter, and up to four captioned images in each section.
  • Share to Privora. Send text, PDFs, links, images, and contact cards to Privora from any app through the iOS Share Sheet. Markdown files open straight from the Files app, and anything that could not be saved is listed with the reason why.
  • Five more widgets: Expenses, Credit Cards, Debts and Loans, Laundry, and Home Maintenance, bringing the total to fourteen.
  • Widgets now follow the colour theme and appearance mode you chose in Privora, instead of always following the system.
  • Richer expense and credit card rows: the time alongside the date, the payment source, and whether an expense was typed in, scanned from a receipt, read from a bank statement, or imported from Apple Wallet.
  • Refund Tracker, Debts & Loans, Home Bills, and Split Tracker now scroll the way every other list does, so all nine Finance modules finally match.
  • The subscription screen states the full terms before you start a free trial: how long it lasts, what you will be charged when it ends, and how often, read from the App Store rather than written into the app.
  • A Done bar on 13 more forms, and an Image Library entry now holds up to 30 images.

Coming Next

Finished and being tested. These are not part of the current release and will arrive in a later update.

  • Add a client without leaving the document. Start an invoice for someone new and create them on the Select Client screen itself, with name, email and phone, then carry straight on. Privora points out anyone who already looks like a match as you type, and warns you before two clients end up sharing one name.
  • Client search that finds what you meant: it now looks through email addresses and phone numbers as well as names, and matches a number typed the way you remember it rather than the way it happens to be stored.
  • Open a PDF straight into Privora. Choose Privora from Open With, in Files, in Mail, or anywhere a PDF turns up, and it goes to your PDF Library, with a moment first to check the title and add tags. Privora keeps its own copy, so you can delete the original and still read it.
  • Saved links keep the page's own title. Share a page and Privora fills in what the page calls itself rather than just the site name, and there is a Notes field for why you kept it. The share sheet now also tells you where something is going, whether that is Bookmarks, PDF Library or Smart Notes, before you save. A link reaches Bookmarks even when the app you shared it from hands the address over as plain text rather than as a link.
  • More room to write in Smart Notes. The title and tags have moved out of the editor and into a new Note Settings screen, reached from the note's own menu, so editing a note is the page and the words and nothing else, with the title still in view at the top. Note Settings is also where each note decides whether its date is printed on its PDFs, and that starts switched off, so exports come out clean unless you ask for the date.
  • Each note can choose its own writing direction. Set a note to right-to-left and its text lays out that way whatever language Privora itself is in, so an Arabic note reads properly inside an English app, and left-to-right does the same in reverse. The setting lives in Note Settings and follows the note into the reading view, the Markdown preview, its row in the list, and its PDF. Code blocks stay left-to-right, because that is how code is read.
  • Note PDFs fill the page. A long list no longer pushes itself onto a fresh page and leaves most of the one before it empty; it starts where there is room and carries on overleaf. Exports come out shorter, and without the wide blank bands that used to open up before a list.
  • Buy Now Pay Later shows what each installment costs. A plan that used to read "4 payments" now reads "4 × AED 9,645.00", so the size of a single payment is on the card without opening it. Privora takes that figure from the schedule it actually stored rather than dividing the total, which matters whenever a total does not split evenly.

    Build 21

    Automatic card-transaction importing through Apple Shortcuts, related links for bookmarks, and a long-standing keyboard annoyance fixed across the whole app.

    • Import eligible Apple Wallet transactions as expenses, through an Apple Shortcuts automation you build and control. A guided wizard sets it up, and a review queue means nothing is ever saved silently.
    • Related Links for Bookmarks: attach any number of extra URLs to a bookmark, each with its own title, and find them through bookmark search.
    • Smart Notes now export to a properly paginated A4 PDF, with wide tables laid out to fit and long exports reporting progress so they can be cancelled.
    • A Done bar and tap-outside-to-dismiss across all 30 numeric forms, so the keyboard gets out of your way.
    • Accessibility work throughout: status pills no longer rely on colour alone, and rows stack cleanly at the largest text sizes, verified in Arabic and right-to-left.
    • Deleting a credit card now asks for confirmation first, instead of deleting straight away.

  2. Privora 1.1.7

    Build 17

    The largest release Privora has had: two new modules, Home Screen widgets, colour themes, on-device reading of receipts and bank statements, and a redesign of every list and every PDF.

    • PDF Library and Image Library, two new modules with tags, search, and an optimiser that keeps the library small.
    • Nine Home Screen widgets, each drawn from a local snapshot, with their own Widget Privacy setting.
    • Three colour themes, plus an Appearance Mode that runs independently of the theme.
    • On-device bank statement importing, including password-protected files, with every row reviewable before anything is saved.
    • Intelligent receipt scanning that reads the merchant, total, and date, and learns your regular shops as you confirm them.
    • Credit Card statements, payments, and tracked spending, with every currency named explicitly.

    • Reminders rebuilt: scheduling is now truthful about when a reminder will fire, and reminders are re-armed correctly after a backup is restored.
    • Secure Contacts gained multiple phone numbers and email addresses per contact, and a redesigned detail screen.

    • Subscriptions gained billing history and a quick cancel action.

    Smarter expense entry in Split Tracker, and a starter library for Workout Tracker.

    • Split Tracker suggests a category as you type an expense title, matching against built-in keywords and merchant names entirely on your device.
    • Corrections you make are remembered locally, so suggestions sharpen the more you use them. Nothing is processed in the cloud, and the final choice is always yours.
    • Workout Tracker gained a Starter Exercise Library: browse popular exercises by muscle group and equipment type, then add them to your own library.

    Three new modules and a much larger Healthcare module, bringing Privora to 20.

    • Workout Tracker, Laundry Services, and Split Tracker arrived as Privora's 18th, 19th, and 20th modules.
    • Workout Tracker: build your own exercises, routines, and weekly plans, with session logs, progress insights, personal bests, body metrics, and PDF export.
    • Laundry Services: follow an order from drop-off to pickup, save invoice images, mark orders received, and keep accurate laundry expense totals.
    • Split Tracker: share expenses one to one or across a group, with balances calculated for you, settlements recorded, and receipts attached.
